Introduces students to fundamental principles of design in various disciplines, in order that they can compare, abstract and assimilate information to improve future designs of information systems and decide on suitability for various industries. The intrinsic processes of formal design methods in disciplines such as engineering, industrial design, fine art and architecture will be examined and their relationship to information systems design determined.
