Systems design and implementation

6 points * 4 hours per week * Second semester * Caulfield * Prerequisites: SYS4220

Design issues: examine and evaluate various system design methodologies and their importance to commercially-based software, namely structured design, object-oriented design and Jackson-system design. Other design issues will include: why bother to design? can design methodologies cope with evolutionary development? user participation design; designing for the wrong processes.
