The rapid application development approach to information systems development. Techniques used in rapid application development; joint application development (JAD) sessions, analysis and design techniques, prototyping. Tools used in rapid application development; application generators, database languages, computer-assisted systems engineering (CASE) tools. Rapid application development methodologies, timebox approach, navigator fast track, spiral model of systems development. Organisational environments necessary for rapid application development.
