Master of Librarianship

Clayton campus

The Master of Librarianship is offered by the Department of Librarianship, Archives and Records. It is a professional degree in librarianship open to graduates who hold a professional qualification in librarianship and have qualified for a bachelors degree in a field other than librarianship. In special circumstances applicants without formal qualifications may be admitted. The course may be completed in a minimum of one year of full-time and a maximum of three years full-time study, or a minimum of two years of part-time and a maximum of five years part-time study. Full-time candidates should normally allow two years to complete the degree.

The purpose of the degree is to offer professional librarians opportunities for advanced study and research in librarianship.
