Using CAD tools to model mechanical, electrical and communications systems. Linear time-invariant systems: analysis, stability. State-space models. Time-domain analysis of continous and discrete-time systems. Frequency-domain analysis of continuous and discrete-time systems. Reconstruction of signals from samples. Discrete-time processing of continous-time signals. Discrete-time filters. Discrete-time control systems.

Assessment

Laboratory practical work: 30% * Assignments: 10% * Written examination (3 hours): 60%
