Source materials for Australian studies
Second semester * Clayton
This subject aims to make students aware of current Australian publishing, both commercial and public, and of the resources which exist in libraries and archival repositories in manuscript, print, map, picture and film form and in oral archives as sources of information for Australian studies. Students should develop a proficiency in locating relevant material and extracting information; in interpreting that information; and in evaluating the source material for authenticity, importance and relevance to their field of study.
