Issues in music librarianship

This subject examines the theoretical basis of music provision in libraries, particularly in light of changes in the field and in areas requiring further development. Special reference will be made to Australian libraries. The subject aims to identify and evaluate particular issues or problem areas in music provision in libraries and to consider and develop possible strategies to address these issues. A demonstrated knowledge of music is required.
