The systems development life cycle illustrated with case studies: problem definition; feasibility study; current system analysis; new system design; programming, debugging, testing, implementation, evaluation and maintenance. Analysis and design tools; information gathering techniques - interview and questionnaire; organisation charts; systems design flow charts; decision tables; data flow diagrams; documentation standards; forms design and screen formatting; file design; data dictionary; structure charts, prototyping, CASE tools.
