Computer graphics

4 points * Two 1-hour lectures per week * First semester * Clayton * Prerequisites: CSC2040, CSC2050 and any two of CSC2010, CSC2020 and CSC2030 * Corequisites: As for CSC3030 * Prohibitions: GCO2810, RDT3510, RDT3622

Computer graphics deals with techniques for generating lines, curves and surfaces. This subject covers graphics devices, graphics software, line, arc and curve drawing, clipping, scan conversion and overlapping regions, 2D and 3D transformations, shading and hidden surface algorithms, synthetic camera models.

Assessment

Examination (2 hours): 70% * Practical work: 30%
