Software engineering I

4 points * Two 1-hour lectures per week and one 3-hour laboratory per fortnight * Second semester * Clayton * Prerequisites: CSC2040 * Prohibitions: CFR2128, CFR3042, GCO3811, RDT2231, SFT2201, SFT3041

This subject introduces students to the problems of `programming in the large'. Topics covered include software life cycle, systems design, project management, formal specifications, testing, software development tools, software metrics.

Assessment

Examination (2 hours): 80% * Practical work: 20%
