CASE technology

6 points * 4 hours per week * Second semester * Caulfield * Prerequisites: COT4230 and SYS4220

CASE environment. OS/2 and presentation manager. Data repositories and encyclopaedias. Integrated project support environments. Evaluation of CASE software: CASE products - products studied will vary from year to year and will include project management, analysis, design, versioning, program generation and reverse engineering tools. Current issues in CASE, for example the interface between design tools and code generators.

Assessment

Examination (2 hours): 50% * Practical work: 50%
