Computer facilities and network management III

Specification, evaluation and acquisition of computer systems including feasibility studies, requirements specification, requests for tender, tender evaluation, software and hardware selection. Systems implementation. Capacity planning. Computer security. Computer standards. Local area network and network management will be introduced as well as the legal aspects of computer facilities and network management.

Assessment

Written: 30% * Examination (2 hours): 70%

This subject is designed to familiarise students with the Chinese language computing environment and to enable them to develop a sound knowledge of Chinese computing in the business context. Students will learn the principles and skills of Chinese business computing through the practical use
