Animal management

Objectives On completion of this subject students should be able to appreciate the range of alternatives in the Australian animal industries; be able to analyse and evaluate biological, husbandry, industry and marketing factors in three selected animal production enterprises; understand the structure and organisation of the various animal industry organisations in Australia.

Synopsis Beef management, dairy management, sheep management, pig management, poultry management. (Students select three of five modules to study in depth.)

Assessment Assignments (2000 words): 20% * Final examination (3 hours): 80%
