Business research methods

3 hours per week * Caulfield * Prerequisite: acceptance for enrolment in the Master of Business (Manufacturing Management)

The aim of MGM7430 is to provide students with a detailed understanding of the issues underlying the conducting of rigorous and theoretically correct and practically relevant business related research. Students who have completed this subject will at an advanced level be able to design research proposals; collect qualitative and quantitative data using a variety of research techniques; analyse qualitative data; apply statistical techniques to the analysis of quantitative data; design probability and non-probability samples, and conduct research ethically.

Assessment Assignment (8000 words): 35% * Test: 15% * Final examination (3 hours): 50%
