Research project (double unit)

Synopsis Students have the option of undertaking a research project only, or of undertaking an overseas study tour. The research project will be designed to enable the student to prepare an effective report based on research of the benefits to a manufacturing company of adopting, or enhancing an existing, manufacturing technology or process. That technology could include one or more of the manufacturing improvement technologies (TQM, JIT etc). The project would be agreed in a cooperative manner between the student's workplace supervisor and the course leader for this diploma and supervised by a research supervisor.
