Database technology for manufacturing and computer-integrated manufacturing systems (CIM) are covered. Technology development forecasting leads on to management information systems and their design and implementation. Systems specification and performance measures are addressed followed by integration of planning and processes, maintaining up-dated practices and technology and a major analysis of iterative systems development and systems amendment.
