Preliminary dissertation

Synopsis The preliminary dissertation gives students the opportunity to engage in independent research on a subject of interest to them, but not associated with the subject area of their thesis topic. A supervisor is assigned to the student and the work is graded by the supervisor. The dissertation is equivalent to two subjects and is expected to be approximately 15,000 words. Permission to undertake the dissertation is required from the coordinator of research in the Department of Management.
