Restrictive trade practices

Synopsis The focus of this subject is upon the operation of the Trade Practices Act, but the issues selected for discussion are those posed by most systems of legislative control of monopolies and restrictive practices. Topics discussed are collusive agreements, misuse of market power, mergers, resale price maintenance, exclusive dealing and price discrimination. The subject highlights the manner in which trade practices legislation influences business decisions.
