Inventory management

Objectives To outline deficiencies in common methods of inventory management; to provide an understanding of the dynamics of inventory control systems to foster skills for the proper management of inventories in practice.

Synopsis Basic inventory problems, spreadsheet simulation of inventory systems, order-up-to systems of control, reorder level control systems, aggregate inventory control, multi-level production and distribution systems, materials requirements planning, just-in-time production.

Assessment Written (practical and assignment work): 100%
