Health policy and planning

Synopsis This subject will introduce students to the principles, concepts and theories on which health policy and planning are based. It is concerned with the nature of the health policy-making process in terms of formulation, implementation and evaluation. It considers various different approaches to health planning. Reference will be made to contemporary policy and planning issues in Australia at Commonwealth, State and institutional level.

Assessment Written (three 2000-word assignments): 90% * Class presentation: 10%
