Tourism management B

Objectives The primary objective of this subject is to extend the knowledge gained in previous tourism management and elective subjects and to demonstrate how it can be applied to the management of tourist destination regions and the coordination of tourism provisions therein. It aims to cultivate, in those employed or seeking employment in the industry, appropriate attitudes with respect to the economic, social and environmental sustainability of a region's tourism resources and activities.

Synopsis Destination area organisations; development; sustainability; sociocultural and natural environments; marketing; tourism and the community.

Assessment Assignments (2000 words): 50% * Examination (3 hours): 50%
