Tourism management processes

6 points * Two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour tutorial per week * Distance and on campus * Gippsland * Second semester * Prerequisite: GBU1501, or equivalent

Objectives The primary objective of this subject is to extend the knowledge gained in previous tourism management subjects and demonstrate how it can be applied to the management of tourist destination regions and the coordination of tourism provisions therein. It aims also to cultivate appropriate attitudes with respect to the sustainability - economic, social and environmental - of a region's tourism resources and activities.

Assessment Essay (2000 words): 50% * Examination (3 hours): 50%
