Export management

Objectives The objective of this advanced level subject is to build on knowledge gained in previous studies to develop a framework for export management.

Synopsis Role of government, methods of exporting, basis of export sales, export documentation, finance of exports, methods of payment, export finance transactions, foreign exchange transactions, export finance insurance corporation, modes of international transport, quoting for export, marine insurance, legal aspects, case study analysis.

Assessment (on campus) Written (3000 words): 40% * Examination (3 hours): 50% * Tutorial: 10% * Students must obtain a satisfactory result in all areas of assessment

Assessment (distance) Written (5000 words): 50% * Examination (3 hours): 50% * Students must obtain a satisfactory result in all areas of assessment
