Research project in risk management

3 hours per week * First, second semester Caulfield, Distance education, In-house * Prerequisite: Special selection criteria applies.

Objectives On completion of this subject students will demonstrate a theoretical and practical understanding and the ability to apply research techniques to produce a high quality research document; conduct a critical review of the literature relevant to the area of study; derive appropriate hypotheses for testing; conduct a planned study; devise and or utilise quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Synopsis Access to and availability of information and data; research design and skills; benefits of research; the research proposal and planning the research project; the nature and objectives of organisations; project planning; project management.

Assessment Research project (10,000 words): 70% * semester tests: 30%
