Customer credit and risk analysis

Objectives On completion of this subject students should have developed an advanced understanding of the value of financial information in credit assessment; the warning signs of bankruptcy; methods available to predict loan failures; the effects of microeconomic events upon the structure of the loan portfolio.

Synopsis Microeconomic events and the lending environment; economic policies; statistical techniques in economic and financial forecasting; lending and balance sheet structuring; predicting corporate failure and strategies to avoid corporate failure.

Assessment Assignment (2500 words): 25% * Class test (1 hour): 25% * Final examination (2 hours): 50%
