Lending law

Objectives On completion of this subject students should: understand the principal legal issues involved in providing finance and taking security; be able to make informed decisions in lending, recovering loans and enforcing security.

Synopsis Capacity and authority to borrow and to grant security; securities and quasi-securities; lending on security of land, choses in action and goods; company charges; priorities; insolvency issues in lending.

Assessment Assignment (2500 words): 30% * Final examination (3 hours): 70%
