Objectives On completion of this subject students should: be able to participate in conversations which enable them to establish good relationships with Japanese business people; be able to read and write basic letters appropriate to various business and social situations.

Synopsis Consolidate and further develop students' knowledge of Japanese; intermediate competence in spoken and written Japanese with particular emphasis on business situations.

Assessment Written test: 50% * Performance/speaking test: 15% * Listening comprehension: 10% * Immersion program: 10% * Quizzes and homework: 15%
