Synopsis This subject is addressed to selected contemporary topics in urban economics and economic development. These include urbanisation processes and economic development; economics and diseconomies of city size and growth; urban transport, congestion and the urban environment; urban spatial structure; financing urban public services and the role of government in urban areas.
