Advanced information systems

Objectives The aim of this subject is to develop further a student's understanding of information systems, especially accounting information systems. Topics covered will normally include information systems theory, financial modelling, systems analysis, accounting packages, query languages and database management systems. The exercise work in this course may involve some programming, but will focus mainly on the use of packages for providing accounting information.

Assessment Test (2 hours): 30% * Assignment: 20% * Assignment (3000 words): 20% * Final examination (2 hours): 30%
