Management science and information systems

Objectives On completion of this subject students should have developed an understanding of the principles of management, the manager's concerns with organisation structure, and the flow of information within decision making centres; knowledge of information systems, the tools and techniques for making decisions and administering the matters for which managers are responsible; behavioural factors affecting accomplishments of the organisation's objectives.

Synopsis Lectures and seminars on the principles of management; the management concern with organisation structure and the flow of information within decision making centred; decision analysis tool and techniques.

Assessment Class tests: 30% * Final examination (2 hours): 70%
