Advanced financial management

Objectives On completion of this subject students should be able to read and critically evaluate the major contemporary finance research; able to appreciate new developments in the area of finance such as options and futures; able to understand the major asset pricing models; familiar with advanced techniques for evaluating financing and investing policies.

Synopsis Extension of students' conceptual framework in financial management; developing capacity to apply financial theory in the practical environment; examination of conceptual topics; individual projects and syndicate case studies.

Assessment Class participation: 10% * Assignments: 54% * Final examination (3 hours): 36%
