Human services: field education
Maurie Hasen
2 hours per week * Second semester * Caulfield * Prerequisite: WEL2370
Normally, students will use their current professional practice to provide the context for this subject. Students will establish learning objectives for their own professional development in order to enhance their skills and knowledge in a familiar human service domain. For example students may appraise critically their current work practice. They may focus on innovative practice options in the light of current issues, policies or events or they may carry out a project. Field education will be tailored to meet the requirements of students and their learning goals rather than programatic objectives. With staff consultation, students may call on the expertise of workers in their agency or field.
