Immigration and minority relations, concepts and models of intergroup relations; ethnicity and ethnic identity. Social implications of an increasingly plural society; pressures for assimilation. The response of Australian social institutions to pluralism - eg, law, education, industry, unions. Characteristics and values of particular cultural groups in Australia - eg, Turkish, Aboriginal, Vietnamese.
