Australia and the world

This subject offers a survey of Australia's external relations. It discusses continuity and change in Australia's interests and alliances, and their main domestic and international determinants. Several themes are interwoven: foreign policy, defence policy and international economic policy. The subject pays particular attention to Australia's relationships with Britain, the United States and the Asia-Pacific region.
