The subject examines the politics of industrial relations within the Australian context. Topics include the government, the state and industrial relations; structures of employee-employer organisations; political ideology and industrial relations; trade union involvement in political and social issues; unions and political parties; worker participation. Themes cover conflict and democracy in industrial relations.
