Theory of knowledge

8 points * 2 hours per week * First semester * Clayton * Prerequisites: Two 8-point second-year level subjects in philosophy including one of PHL2110, PHL2130 and PHL2170
The subject will take the form of student-initiated discussions on problems about the nature of knowledge, scepticism and rational belief. It will be mainly based on recent articles, which will be made available.
Assessment
Two essays (3000 words each): 50% each * Optional replacement of one essay by a 3-hour examination
