Legal studies - white collar crime

8 points * 3 hours per week * First/Second semester * Caulfield/Clayton/Distance * Prerequisites: PCE1010 and PCE1030

A detailed study of two broad areas of substantive law: the law of persons, covering personal capacity, status and responsibility, eg citizenship, family law, privacy; and the law of property, covering such areas as fraud, embezzlement, negotiable instruments, hire purchase and allied transactions. In each case, the possible involvement and role of the police officer will be examined.
