Performance studies: Indonesian Gamelan and dance

The subject covers more advanced performance studies in gamelan, dance and drama of Java, involving both classical and new music, dance and drama. Besides more advanced study of the performance of particular instruments, dances and/or drama tasks, the subject covers the relevant performance practice, musical concepts, sociology of performance, notation and text-music relationships.
