Performance studies: Indonesian gamelan

The performance of works of various genres of music from Java and Bali and the study of the relevant performance practice, musical concepts, sociology of performance, notation, and text-music relationships. Introduction to the dance and puppet theatre accompanied by gamelan.

Assessment

Written (2500 words): 25% * Examinations (1 hour): 15% * Aural and performance tests: 60%
