Prohibition: This subject should not be taken by students who have already completed LIN2550, LIN 3550, or their equivalents

The distinction between language learning and language acquisition; the social context of these; the relationship between first, second and bilingual language acquisition; interlanguage; bilingual education; field work; language attrition as the inverse of language acquisition in the elderly and among language learners; activation and reactivation of passive language skills.
