This subject aims to consolidate and further develop students' knowledge of Japanese in order to achieve intermediate competence in spoken and written Japanese with particular emphasis on business situations. It is the first part of a two-semester sequence and is designed to be followed by JPL1240. Students are advised to enrol concurrently for JPS1090 (Understanding contemporary Japan).
