Comprehensive Japanese IB: part 1

6 points * 6 hours per week * First semester * Clayton * Prerequisites: VCE Japanese, or equivalent qualifications acceptable to the department

This subject aims to consolidate and further develop students' knowledge of Japanese in order to achieve intermediate competence in spoken and written Japanese. It is the first part of a two-semester sequence and is designed to be followed by JPL1220. Students are advised to enrol concurrently for JPS1090 (Understanding contemporary Japan).

Assessment

Written tests: 50% * Performance/speaking test: 15% * Listening comprehension test: 10% * Immersion program: 10% * Quizzes, homework and other ongoing activities: 15%
