Italian IIIA

4 points * 2/3 hours per week * First semester * Clayton * Prerequisites: ITA2100 or equivalent knowledge of the language

The subject is thematically organised and presents a variety of text regarding aspects of contemporary Italy through which to explore register variations and discourse strategies. The subject reviews areas of syntax considered problematic and aims at consolidating oral and written expression. Translation is studied to foster awareness of comparative linguistic structures in Italian and English.

Assessment

Continuous assessment: 70% * End of semester test: 30%
