The subject considers a variety of factors in human development and lifestyle which can impact on the health of an individual. Particular topics to be covered include concepts of health, nutritional practices and diseases of poor nutritional balances, life cycle stages of growth and development, nutritional requirements through the life span, age-related diseases, nature of inheritance in humans, normal variation in genes, inherited diseases, genetic diagnosis and counselling.
