Welfare organisational practice II

Subject value of 1.0 (6 points) * 3 hours per week * Second semester * Gippsland/Distance * Prerequisite: All first-level subjects for Associate Diploma of Arts (Social Welfare), all first and second-level subjects for Bachelor of Social Welfare

This subject recognises the organisational context of all welfare practice and will therefore attempt to explore the ways this context can affect practice interventions, as well as introduce students to practice strategies for organisational change. The subject will form a springboard into the fieldwork placement. The subject provides the opportunity to prepare students for the increasing number and range of management functions embodied in many welfare positions today.

Assessment

A group assignment in program planning and development (3500 words): 50% * Essay (3000 words): 50%
