Subject value of 1.0 (6 points) * 3 hours per week * Second semester * Gippsland/Distance * Prerequisites: GSC1201, GSC1202 or equivalents. Students who have completed 6322 (Sociology of the family) cannot enrol in GSC2201

The subject will cover material on the following topics: family structure and industrialisation, mate selection, family interaction, changing gender roles within the family, family disruption and extended family relationships.

Assessment

Assignment one (1500 words): 30% * Assignment two (2000 words): 40% * Final examination: 30%
