Greek-Australian writing

P Andronikos

8 points * 3 hours per week * Second semester * Clayton

A survey of the contribution made by Greek-Australians to Australian and Greek literature. Literary works written in both Greek and English will be studied (in translation where necessary) and, in particular, the work of first-generation Greek-Australians will be compared and contrasted with that of later generations. Knowledge of Modern Greek is not a prerequisite.

Assessment

Written (3500 words): 60% * Examinations (2.5 hours): 40%
