Any two of the offered special subject courses must be undertaken. Assessment varies according to the subject, but is usually via class papers and/or essays. It is hoped that the list of special subjects for 1994 will include gender studies, the Hellenistic era, Greek epigraphy, orality and literacy, Egyptology, Greek and Latin language courses, and a range of options relating to the Greek and Roman history courses.
