Tragedy

This subject focuses on ancient Classical Greek tragedy. Among its central issues are: the Greek theatre as a type of performing space; the development of drama as a genre; the evolution of specific themes and styles; relationships between theatre, audience and society; distinguishing characteristics of the drama of the three major representatives of this tradition - Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides.

Written (4000 words): 65% * Examinations (2 hours): 35%
