Rome and its literature: the great masters

This subject will introduce the students to the major authors of Roman literature placing them in their historical, social and intellectual context and will also explore to what extent each author respected or transgressed the literary laws dictated by the rhetoricians.

Assessment

Written (2500 words): 50% * Examinations (2 hours): 50%
